When you adopt, you quickly become part of an amazing community of other adoptive families. Since launching this blog, I've been able to connect with several families who have adopted through our agency, A Love Beyond Borders. I've been blown away by the support and compassion that these families provide one another throughout their adoption journeys.
I recently learned of one LBB family that needs lots of love showered upon them right now. Please go here to read Zia's story. Zia had to have emergency heart surgery just a few days ago. She has taken a turn for the worse, and is now having a hard time breathing due to the fluid around her heart. Her mom, Brenda Gorman, just arrived in DR Congo to hold her baby girl in her arms for the first time and see if she can help get Zia the care she so desperately needs. Doctors say she wouldn't survive another surgery right now, so Zia really needs a miracle. Please keep this baby girl and her family in your heart during these next few critical days.
